DC

My work with comic book giant DC began on the agency side where I brainstormed marketing campaigns, live-tweeted events, and wrote copy for all of the brand’s social media platforms–over 15 pages overall. Notable milestones include promoting Rebirth–DC’s line-wide relaunch of its books–as well as new comic book imprints for Hanna-Barbera, DC’s Young Animal, and WildStorm. Comic fans are discerning, so awareness of the current books was essential. This meant not just writing copy Monday through Sunday, but also reading 15 to 20 comics each week.

Eventually I joined DC as a social media manager where I carried out campaigns for Superman’s 80th Anniversary, Batman’s 80th Anniversary, and helped launch DC’s TikTok account. I also worked with a massive network of teams across Warner Bros. to produce DC FanDome, a first-of-its kind 24-hour streaming event. DC FanDome featured major updates and content drops for upcoming releases as well as accessible content for kids and families. The massive event earned 22M views and trended in 82 countries on YouTube as well as 53 countries on X (then known as Twitter).
